This page explains how to delete your EXPN account and the data associated with it. Accounts in EXPN are optional and only exist to power cloud sync; if you never created one, EXPN stores nothing about you on any server, and simply uninstalling the app removes all of its local data.
Delete your account inside the app (recommended)
Open EXPN and open Settings.
Scroll to the Data & Account section.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm, and re-enter your credentials when asked (this protects your account from being deleted by someone else using your device).
Deletion takes effect immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app (lost device, uninstalled app), send an email to sufxga@gmail.com with the subject "EXPN account deletion request", sent from the email address the account is registered under so we can verify it's you. We will delete the account and its cloud data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted
Your account identity: your email address and sign-in credentials.
All app data synced to the cloud under your account: expenses, income, budgets, categories, accounts, profiles, and settings.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What is kept, and for how long
Local data on your device is not touched by account deletion, so you keep your records and can continue using the app offline. To remove it too, use Delete All Data in the app's Settings, or uninstall the app.
Crash diagnostics (technical crash reports containing no financial content) already collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Nothing else is retained. There are no marketing lists, analytics profiles, or backups of your data on our side.
